The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohammad Raad said on Saturday that the opposition was united and aware of how to conduct its electoral battle, with its own tactics, which were agreed upon among its forces.

During a political meeting organized by Hizbullah in the southern village of Shoukin, Raad declared that the national opposition will announce its complete electoral lists at the appropriate time. "We will conduct our battle with one goal, because we insist on achieving a parliamentary majority that supports our whole project," Raad said.

The opposition wanted to achieve a majority that believed in "building a strong state capable of confronting attacks and developing the Resistance's capabilities alongside the Lebanese army's," Raad emphasized.

The Hizbullah MP stressed relations with AMAL movement were strategic, noting that the Resistance party would re-elect Nabih Berri as Parliament Speaker following the elections. He noted that the March 14 bloc wanted to get rid of Berri and replace him with a speaker who supported their projects and interests.

Raad said Hizbullah and Amal were allies and had an understanding, despite some different stances on some parliamentary seats. He noted that 90 percent of those divergences were overcome with understanding.
