Berri: No Political Gains through Moral Decline

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri denounced during an event to inaugurate Ain al-Zarqa irrigation project any attempt to acquire political gains through verbal assaults in the elections' speeches.

"The standards which are put by every party to win the election over the other are illusive", Berri said stressing that everyone should win for only Lebanon.

The parliament speaker also spoke on the discovery of a huge oil reserve in Lebanon.

"There is information about oil and natural gas reserves in Lebanon. We have information that the ocean facing south contains a huge oil reserve", Berri said.

Berri warned that "if the trial for coexistence fails, then the whole human civilization risks suffering. Lebanon is not has been placed in the care of the Lebanese."

Berri also stressed in his word that if it weren't for the resistance, no Lebanese would have been able to drink water.
