Sheikh Qabalan calls for restraint after Monday attack on LAF

Vice President of the Higher Shia Islamic Council Sheikh Abdel Amir Qabalan denounced the Monday morning attack on a Lebanese army patrol in Bekaa, saying it targeted the entire country.

He emphasized the necessity of disarming those responsible for security breaches, and added that challenging the Lebanese Armed Forces was considered a challenge to security, stability and calm. He called for self-restraint and refraining from allegations. The legal system, he said, was responsible for punishing the assailants and releasing innocents.
