At a time Palestinians in the Gaza Strip were still suffering from a shortage of humanitarian aids due to the "Israeli" siege against them along with the closure of Rafah crossing that connects Gaza to the outer world through Egypt, Cairo has continued its severe campaign against Hizbullah and its Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in a bid to distort their bright image in the Arab World in general and among the Egyptians in particular.

Egypt continued its campaign against Hizbullah on the political, security and media aspects with expectations saying that this aggressive campaign would be harsher in the coming days.

Sources said that what has been announced about the investigations and what has been put under the title of "confessions" was nothing but idle since Hizbullah has stressed on his concern on Egypt's security and confirmed that it has done nothing more than seeking to provide logistical assistance to the Palestinians besieged in the Strip.

The recent hours have revealed the "Israeli" role in these accusations and incitement against Hizbullah. News emerged Monday that foreign intelligence services - including "Israel's" Mossad - provided Egyptian authorities with intelligence and the claims against the Lebanese resistance movement, according to the "Israeli" daily Haaretz. Egypt's chief of intelligence, General Omar Suleiman, is a frequent visitor to "Israel" and the doors of his counterparts in Tel Aviv are always open, as are those of the "Israeli" Prime Minister's bureau.

"Israeli" President Shimon Peres has connected between the Egyptian allegations against Hizbullah and Iran and he launched a personal attack against Sayyed Nasrallah.

Haaretz expressed "Israel's" relief to the current situation and latest developments between Cairo and Hizbullah saying that Egyptian intelligence was constantly informing the "Israeli" intelligence of the investigations with the cell they claimed it belongs to Hizbullah, adding that ""Israel" is profiting from Egypt-Hizbullah quarrel."

Haaretz added, "It is true that (Sayyed) Nasrallah is proving again that he is not afraid of confronting the leaders of big and strong countries but this conflict might also impact the upcoming elections in Lebanon. It is unlikely all voters will be happy about the affair, which highlights Iran's control over Hizbullah and creates tension between Beirut and Cairo."

The main question is why did the Egyptians choose to release the information now and not four months ago, when the ring was uncovered?
