Mokdad: March 14 Christian parties´ electoral role is larger than their political weight

Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Mokdad told to Al-Manar on Tuesday that "Some Christian parties within the majority were charged with carrying out a role that was larger than their political weight. This issue led to the marginalization of some independent people, such as Abdallah Farhat, Jean Obeid and Ghattas Khoury," he said.

"The opposition made a final decision about re-electing Speaker Nabih Berri and will not retreat," he confirmed.
However, he said that "99 percent of the Egyptian people consider "Israel" an enemy," he said, adding that Lebanese people agreed with this assessment. "If we agree on this issue, why should we reassure "Israel" regarding its security?" he asked.

Mokdad added that the "Israelis" were happy with Egypt's behavior, after it arrested 49 people on suspicion of forming a Hizbullah cell in the country last week.
