Fayyad: To transform the elections to an opportunity to treat Lebanon´s crisis through forming a national unity governme

Hizbullah Candidate for Marjiyoun-Hasbaya District Dr. Ali Fayyad called for transforming the forthcoming parliamentary elections to an opportunity to move forward on treating the present Lebanese crisis instead of allowing for excess in the production of a political state of deterioration, regression and non-stability.

He said the call Hizbullah and the National Lebanese Opposition made to the loyalists to form a national unity government with true partnership in political decision making, once the coming elections are over, springs from this mindedness.

Dr Fayyed called for taking into account the socio-economic crisis, as well as the development and performance of the state's institutions when forming such unity government.

Moscow visit

Dr Fayyad returned this morning from a visit to Moscow upon an invitation extended to him by the Centre for Strategic and Political Research.
During his visit he signed a cooperation protocol between the Centre for Strategic and Political Research, represented by its director Professor Vitali N'oumkn, and the Consultative Center for Research and Documentation.

Doctor Fayyad had attended several political meetings including a meeting with former Russian Prime Minister Yivgeni Brimlakov, the head Middle East Affairs in the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry Mr. Serge Firtchini, additional to the Russian DOMA Council's Foreign Affairs Committee.

These meetings addressed rectifying the political situation in the Middle East generally and in Lebanon specifically. Both parties stressed the importance of continued communication and their desire to develop relations further.
