Raad: Parliamentary Majority Must Believe in a Strong Lebanon
The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohammad Raad said on Tuesday the forthcoming parliamentary elections constitute an opportunity for Lebanese to "change the wave" that prevailed the political scene during the four previous years.
During a political meeting in South Lebanon, Raad recalled how the current parliamentary majority backed a power and a government that forgot that it was representing a whole nation and nominated itself as the protector of foreign interest in Lebanon.
"Our country and our people cannot tolerate such majority anymore," Raad stressed, emphasizing that no one has the ability to deny or invalidate anyone in Lebanon. "We have to come with a new majority that believes that a strong Lebanon is better than a weak Lebanon and that believes that Lebanon was safeguarded by its resistance and army, not friends and international betters."
The Hizbullah MP said that whoever wants stability has to perceive the importance of the Resistance's choice and contribute in strengthening such choice. "We insist on clinging to the Resistance approach and include it in every electoral or political platform and in every ministerial statement because it's the Resistance that safeguards the country."
