Candidate Fayyad: Opposition looks forward to achieve a breakthrough in the elections
Hizbollah Staff, 22-04-2009
Ali Fayyad, Hizbullah candidate for Marjayoun - Hasbaya considered that "There is an imbalance between the March 8 and March 14 political and electoral realities."
He added "Differences among the loyalists camp are not temporary or electoral, but spring from the circumstances and environment that produced 'March 14' in Lebanon.
On the other hand, the March 8 reality seems more coherent and more profoundly allied to meet the challenges ahead with the existence of electoral issues that need to be addressed within the opposition's camp, such as the case with Jezzine.
However, this matter remains purely electoral pertained to the distribution of seats without political background."
Fayyad added: "That is why the opposition's alliance is politically based with common political grounds, something that has so far enabled it to abort the project of moving Lebanon's political position into the U.S. sphere of influence in the region.
This alliance is now creating stimulus to bring about a significant national achievement in the coming elections through acquiring parliamentary majority."
