The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohammad Raad said on Thursday that the opposition wanted to win the majority in the upcoming parliamentary elections "to preserve the identity of Lebanon, and to protect it from being an open space for foreign guardianship and a path to "Israel"."

Speaking during a memorial in the southern village of West Zawtar, Raad said that the parliamentary majority only brought problems to Lebanon, and gave its vote of confidence to a government "that does not recognize the law, and a Prime Minister who considers himself above the law and uses people's money and assistance meant to rebuild their homes."

In response to current loyalty members who said an economic crisis would occur if the opposition came into power, Raad said that financial problems occurred when "that majority was in power."

"The aim is to gain the parliamentary majority to get rid of the phase of the individualism and the monopoly of power that prevailed during the last four years," the Hizbullah MP said.
