Former Minister Dr. Trad Hamadeh said that recent surveys "show victory in the coming parliamentary elections as the opposition's ally, and that the opposition's victory will mark the downfall of the American project after this country defeated 'Israel' in the July war."

Hamadeh added that the "American project is waning at all levels in the Arab world, economic and military; there is no longer any confidence in dealing with the corrupt American system."

He saw "the forthcoming elections in Lebanon as significant, a battle of political options," stressing that "a win by the opposition ensures stability, development and national strength."

"Lebanon is coming to a major electoral shock, consisting of major votes being won by the opposition, such victory will be for the resistant people of Lebanon, because the political opponent is weak, fragmented, and without any political project," Hamadeh cncluded.
