Loyalty to the Resistance bloc head Mohammad Raad said on Sunday that "the situation in Lebanon during the past four years undermined the country's stability and was intended to drag it into chaos so the US could pass through the Lebanese gate into the whole region and control it under the slogan of the ‘New Middle East'."

Speaking during a political meeting in Nabatiyeh, Raad accused the majority of trying to prevent the opposition from obtaining a majority rule in Lebanon, saying that "if the aim is to exclude those who support the Resistance and prevent them from participating in national decisions, then winning a majority in parliament in the next elections becomes a national obligation that we should work for."

"The battle now is of a political nature where our essence, identity and will are targeted," he said.

On Saturday, Raad said that the "Lebanese government must go, for being part of an aggressive program against Lebanon and the Lebanese."

In a political gathering in the town of Maifadoun he added: "we say let the state go and not the sects. Sects, must remain in Lebanon, sects are represented in Lebanon. However, this authority whose program has failed must be held accountable on election day."

He added that the current parliamentary majority must be replaced with another parliamentary majority represented by the forces of the [parliamentary] opposition.

Raad accused some Lebanese security apparatus' of forgetting that "Israel" is an enemy due to the current government policy "they assumed that Lebanon has a new enemy named Syria."
