Raad: Opposition´s platform calls for building a resistant, strong and capable state
27-4-2009
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad said on Monday that "we should find common ground and provide calm speech that addresses the worries of all the Lebanese parties and does not provoke anyone."
In an electoral meeting in the southern village of Kfarsir, Raad said that committing to dialogue and calm rhetoric required "deep understanding of Lebanon and the region's conditions... and requires keeping up-to-date on plans that may be targeting Lebanon and the whole region."
Raad also said that his bloc and its supporters were determined to become part of the decision making process of the country "through attaining a majority in parliament."
The opposition would take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections on a platform that called for building a state that was "resistant, strong and capable," the bloc leader said.
