Candidate Fayyad: Al-Quds is the compass & lynchpin cause

Hizbullah candidate for Marjayoun-Hasbayya District, Dr. Ali Fayyad, gave a speech during the celebrations of "al-Quds" ('Jerusalem'), the capital of Arab culture at the Fatima Gate in southern Lebanon.

In his speech he emphasized "The issue of al-Quds is not only a national issue as some seek to portray, but a national cause with humanitarian, religious and pan-Arab dimensions."

He also saw that "The negotiation strategy with 'Israel' has not achieved anything. In contrast, the resistance strategy succeeded in the liberation of Gaza and the greater part of southern Lebanon."
He added "We affirm that al-Quds is the compass and Palestine is the central cause.

Our position will always be alongside the Palestinian people, in their support in the liberation of their land, and the recovery of all their rights. This is our national, pan-Arab and religious duty."
