Moussawi: We seek to win parliamentary majority to free authority from the monopolization
Hizbollah Staff, 28-04-2009
Hizbullah candidate for Tyre District Nawaf Moussawi stressed, in an election campaign meeting in Majdal Zuwen Town, saying "Every attempt at making Lebanon mono-color, internally or externally, signifies the end of Lebanon."
He believed that "This diversity, on the one hand is richness and a necessity on the other, because the groups inhabiting Lebanon, if they cannot live tranquilly on fair basis and be partners in the decision-making process, their continued presence in Lebanon becomes threatened, thus Lebanon becomes threatened as well."
Moussawi said "We are trying to win parliamentary majority in order to keep the authority out of the monopolizing grip of a group that badly ran the country, in both the State's external and internal affairs."
He called for the provision of an authority based on the participation in national decision making of all components of the Lebanese society." Moussawi considered "for the parliamentary majority to remain in the hands of the other team, signifies keeping Lebanon in the cycle of instability, crisis, dependence and exclusivity, and thus, the crisis will build up and escalate."
