... And another complete opposition electoral list saw light on Tuesday!

Indeed, it was the turn of Baalbeck to witness the birth of another electoral list formed by the national opposition, in which the different factions within the opposition were represented.

The list, announced by Hizbullah official in the Bekaa Mohammad Yaghi, included:

- MPs Hussein Hajj Hassan, Nawwar Saheli, Ali Mokdad as well as Sayyed Hussein Moussawi from Hizbullah;
- Minister Ghazi Zeaiter from the Amal movement;
- former MP Assem Kanso from the Baath party;
- MP Kamel Rifai from the Islamic Labor Front;
- MP Marwan Fares from the Syrian Social Nationalist Party;
- Emile Rahme from the Solidarity party;
- Brigadier General Walid Succariyyeh.

Hizbullah candidate Hussein Moussawi read out the list's general platform and called on the Bekaa people to benefit from the forthcoming elections to rectify the political direction of the country. He called for "restructuring former choices ... and reaffirming, through the polls, recommitment to the homeland." He praised an agreement with the Free Patriotic Movement as "a pioneer move to reinforce domestic peace," adding that a national defense strategy should make use of the resistance's capabilities.

For their part, MP Hajj Hassan and Minister Zeaiter addressed the crowds and renewed commitment to continue the development path regardless of all pressures.
