The Chairman of the Executive Council of Hizbullah, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, said that what Hizbullah had stated a few months ago was denounced by some who accuse us of wanting to achieve political objectives, and now comes the International Tribunal (IT) decision to confirm our position's validity.

Sayyed Safieddine added "As far as Hizbullah is concerned, the innocence of the four officers did not require an IT decision, because we know that the entire case against them was a fabrication."
Sayyed Safieddine asked "Where in the world is a political-accusation not judicial? Does this murder crime case talk about political elections or decisions, in order for some to differentiate political accusations and judicial accusations?"

Safieddine considered such talk as heresy aimed at misleading the public and called for a return to the archive to search for the person who invented this heresy.

He continued questioning "whether political accusation allows any politician to have at the dignities and honour of the people, to assault the rights of entire families and a whole country, whether it allows making the large political and economic decisions subject to significant regional changes?!"

Sayyed Safieddine wondered about the denouncement by some regarding manifestations of festivity that accompanied the four officers' reception, as if these people do not have families, relatives or children, clans, supporters or people who love them.

He addressed them saying "You see it as excess, when the oppressed innocent celebrates the moment their innocence is announced, after four years of unjust punishment, and your media, political and ceremonial defamation campaign in which, you did not leave a vulgarity unsaid, and you are the oppressive wrong-doers."
