Fayyad: There is no electoral struggle between Berri and Aoun
Hizbullah's candidate for the Haasbayah-Marjeyoun district Ali Fayyad stated today that "80% of the "problem" in Jizeen between the Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and the Head of the Change and Reform block MP Michelle Aoun "has been resolved", stressing that things are heading towards resolution and "there will be no electoral struggle between Berri and Aoun".
Fayyad added in a radio interview that the opposition is expecting to win the majority but it won't be large, and that there exists a necessity to prepare a national unity government in the coming stage.
Fayyad asserted that the Taa'ef Accord "is still our reference for organizing disputes, a matter we will not retrograde on. Fayyad noted that the March 14 camp ‘suffers many problems".
Fayyad stressed that a national unity government is inevitable and that the opposition "will propose a vetoing third for its opponents in case it wins."
