The Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Major General Ali Abdollahi warned that Iran will certainly impose a cost greater than any gains the adversary seeks in the event of a miscalculation or aggression against the Islamic Republic.

In a meeting with a number of Iranian lawmakers on Monday, Abdollahi said the Iranian Armed Forces, considering the changing nature of threats and in line with the characteristics of future warfare, have placed the enhancement of defensive and offensive readiness on their agenda.

He warned that the enemy must understand that Iran continuously monitors its movements and remains prepared, stressing that any miscalculation or act of aggression would bring about consequences far exceeding whatever achievements the adversary aims to secure.

The commander noted that the Zionist entity and US enemies imposed a 12-day war on Iran due to a miscalculation, adding that the response of Iran’s Armed Forces was harsh and regret-inducing.

On June 13, the Zionist entity launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran, targeting military, nuclear, and residential areas for 12 consecutive days. The United States later escalated the conflict by striking three of Iran’s nuclear sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on June 22.

In retaliation for the US attacks, Iranian forces also targeted al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar -the largest American military installation in West Asia- with a barrage of missiles.

The confrontation came to an end on June 24, when a ceasefire was enforced.
