Labor Minister Mohammad Fneish called to "Return to the Taif Accord in its entirety, starting from its foremost of obligations the commitment to Lebanon's affiliation, position, and Arab identity", stressing that "Arabism contradicting the resistance, contravenes the Taif Accord."

During a celebration to mark the anniversary of the Resistance and Liberation in Tyre, Fneish said "Those who talk about breaching the rules of the democratic system in Lebanon seem to have forgotten that the most important of these rules is ensuring the principle of co-existence as clearly and explicitly decreed in the Taif Accord Charter.

Also, the introduction of the constitution says 'No legitimacy to an authority in contravention of the co-existence principle'"

Fneish pointed out that "Some people only want the resulting positions of power from the Accord, as they believe and imagine that thus they are able to reduce the Lebanese political community, abolish pluralism, and take monopoly on authority in its options, and make it subject to outside projects in order to lay their grip on Lebanon."
