Moussawi: We uphold multilateralism & partnership as per Taif Accord
Hizbollah Site Staff, 11-05-2009
Hizbullah candidate for Tyre district Nawwaf Moussawi said, during a ceremony held in the town of Burj Rahhal to commemorate the Victory and Liberation, "If the Taif Accord does not mean trilateral rule, it certainly does not mean bilateral, and no one can plunge the country back into bilateralism."
He stressed "we adhere to multilateralism and partnership as set out in the Accord", believing that "Any attempt to return the country to the time of exclusivity and unilateral rule will inevitably fail."
Moussawi added "Some people want to use these elections to access governing exclusively once more, something they are spending hundreds of millions of dollars towards."
On the discovery of "Israeli" spy networks, Moussawi addressed a certain segment saying, "If you want to congratulate the security agencies for their accomplishments then conduct your behaviour at political level, in a manner that complements the work of the security services, and stop politically targeting the resistance."
He added "When you interrogate an 'Israeli' spy and discover that his mission is to spy on cadres of the resistance to murder them, to locate their weapons to detonate them, if this spy addressed you saying 'I am your ally, because in your political rhetoric you are targeting the resistance and its weapons', what will you tell him?!"
He also asked "What is the difference between political and security targeting the resistance?"
