Fayyad: "March 14" claims fell away one after the other
Hizbollah Site Staff, 15-05-2009
The joint Hizbullah-Amal Movement Electoral Committee jointly held a political meeting with the people of Markaba town, who are residents of Beirut and Dahiyeh.
The meeting was attended by members of the Development and Liberation list of parliamentary candidates for Marjeyoun - Hasbaya district MP Anwar Khalil, MP Ali Hassan Khalil, MP Qassem Hashem, and Hizbullah candidate in the district Dr. Ali Fayyad, as well as President of Jabal Amel Municipalities Union-the head of Markaba Municipality Dr. Jihad Hammoud, along with head of the Shiaa Waqf (Entailed estate) in Bourj al-Barajineh Engineer Mohamed Fayez al-Harakeh, His Eminence Sheikh Abbas Sh'himi, retired Major General Issam Atwi, and a host of dignitaries, village mayors and people of the town of Markaba.
During the meeting Dr. Ali Fayyad gave a talk in which he said "The other team has begun to lose their argument, their only remaining policy is to build a political speech based at times on intimidation and on differences and delusions at others."
"As soon as we were done with their claim of 'tripartite rule', they moved to the new claim of 'A term reduction in the Presidency of the Republic', followed by a policy of selectivity in appointments, whereby the budget is overlooked while certain appointments are selected bar others."
Fayyad said "the 'March 14' forces are turning to a political group without cause, because their claims collapsed one after the other."
Fayyad also stressed that "the opposition wants reform at all levels, political, administrative, social and developmental."
