Hajj Hassan: 47 billion dollars debt, a great national economic achievement by 14 March!?

Parliamentary elections candidate in Baalbek - Hermel district MP Hussein Hajj Hassan congratulated in a speech the students on the great victory made in May 2000, free of conditions or concessions, calling those he described as "so-called advocates of freedom and independence to show shame when they openly read the items of the 'May 17 Agreement' by which they violated the freedom, sovereignty, independence and national honor."

He added saying "Today they object to the weapons of the resistance, and yesterday they signed on restrictions to the National Lebanese Army's movement and on giving a role to the militia of collaborators in southern Lebanon."

As for those speaking of threats to the national economy in the case of the opposition winning the elections, Hajj Hassan's response was "... But the danger lies in 'March 14' winning again-the side responsible for corruption and public debt," at the same time proposing for bill boards to carry the words "47 billion dollars, '14 March's' great achievement for the national economy."
