Raad: Hizbullah will participate in dialogue session with consensus in mind
Source: As-Safir, 1-6-2009
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc leader Mohammad Raad said that Hizbullah will participate in Monday's national dialogue session, assuring the party would call for consensus in order to ensure a calm atmosphere during the June 7 parliamentary elections.
In an interview with As-Safir newspaper printed on Monday, Raad said that the national dialogue participants should discuss the "Israeli" maneuvers that were launched on Sunday. He added that Hizbullah supports resuming dialogue after the elections to reassure the Lebanese that their country is capable of defending itself against any "Israeli" offensive.
"While the Lebanese are being prepared to hold democratic elections to achieve stability, the "Israeli" enemy is planning for new confrontations. This proves that the decision of war and peace is in "Israel's" hands, therefore, we should be strong" to be able to face it, he said.
