On the anniversary of the assassination of martyr premier Rashid Karami Hizbullah issued a statement presenting its condolences to the people of Tripoli and former premier Omar Karami as well as the family of the martyr. Hizbullah stressed the continuance in holding strong onto the values and values the slain martyr gave his life to preserve and protect.
The following is the text of that statement:
The martyrdom anniversary of the great patriotic leader former premier Rashid Karami comes whilst Lebanon undergoes one of the most sensitive historical phases, bereaving the presence of great men such as martyr premier Karami whose personality formed a pillar in patriotism, an example to be followed for his keenness on the unity of action and word.
Hizbullah presents Lebanon in general and the people of Tripoli, Premier Omar Karami, and the martyr's family in particular with the warmest condolences in memory of this great man's martyrdom. Hizbullah reminds all of his powerful positions preserving national principles, holding strong onto Lebanon's Arabism, independence, and unity both of people and land.
Hizbullah stresses on continuing to hold on to the principles the martyr sacrificed his life for and in defense of. Hizbullah underlines the fact that consolation exists in the failure of vile hands that assassinated him to fulfill their wicked goals through assassinating him, the matter which is ensured by the steadfastness of the patriotic stream which the martyr laid the foundations for and paid his life for.
