Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem denounced "US and "Israeli" interference in the Lebanese parliamentary elections."

Qassem's statements came on Tuesday, while meeting with Said Alame, Shia candidate in the Baabda district, who dropped out of the electoral race.

He added, "The victory of the opposition in the elections is meant to preserve Lebanon's sovereignty, independence and unity, and preserve the Resistance in the face of the "Israeli" enemy, who is still committing daily acts of aggression in Lebanon, and to work for economic and governmental development."
