The Arab relations official in Hizbullah Sheikh Hassan Izzeddine said the Lebanese parliamentary elections which took place on the seventh of this month, was important as a political foundation for the future of Lebanon, saying that the 'March 14' forces used inflammatory political speech and large amounts of political money, additional to foreign support by more than one party including Arab sides who employed their full capabilities in this direction.

Furthermore, the held elections were based on the 1960 Electoral Act, an unfair law that gives audacity to the intervention of money, sectarian and religious incitement, a matter that reflected itself in the results of these elections.

In an interview with the Egyptian 'Shurouk Daily' he pointed out that despite the 'March 14' win, the political scene in Lebanon has no changed "It is true that they have won a majority of seats in the parliament, but a simple majority. We in Hizbullah say we have not felt any real fundamental change, we also consider the elections not the end of the world and therefore we will work in all responsibility and in earnest for the homeland and to defend it."

He said adding that "These results put the ball in the court of the majority group. They have to provide their vision of what they want for Lebanon, for solving the suffocating crisis that beset the country politically, militarily and economically, and for the dangers presented by the Zionist enemy."
