Saudi-Syrian talks were held at the same time as Future Movement leader MP Saad Hariri's visit to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. There are unconfirmed reports that the talks resulted in a Saudi visit to Damascus to discuss Lebanon's future after the parliamentary elections.

As-Safir newspaper reported on Wednesday that, despite what some March 14 figures told the media, Hariri's nomination as prime minister has not yet been agreed upon by the Saudis.
