Sayyed Nasrallah and MP Franjieh agreed on the need "to focus energies on bolstering domestic and national unity in the face of dangers posed by "Israel" especially concerning the right of the Palestinians to return to their homeland."
The two leaders also discussed the latest electoral process in Lebanon and its outcome as well as the upcoming stage, especially in regards to the next government and the national dialogue roundtable. Sayyed Nasrallah and Franjieh reaffirmed the opposition's "unified stance" in the face of all challenges, based on the past experiences.
In a TV interview, Franjieh stressed that the meeting was scheduled prior to the meeting between Sayyed Nasrallah and the head of the Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblatt. He denied that the meeting was a "response" to anyone, hailing the meeting between Sayyed Nasrallah and Jumblatt as a "developed move."
Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah also received a delegation from the Syrian Social National Party (SSNP) head by the party's chief MP Assaad Hardan and including Minister Ali Kanso and Kassem Saleh. The meeting, that discussed the electoral process, the upcoming stage and the national opposition plans, was also attended by the member of Hizbullah political council Hajj Mahmoud Qmati.
