Head of Free Patriotic Movement MP General Michel Aoun said that the discussion on Hizbullah's arms has been delayed for now, and there may be no National Dialogue sessions in the future.

During a press conference in Rabieh on Wednesday, following a meeting of the Change and Reform parliamentary bloc, Aoun said, "If they wanted a national unity government, we have announced our conditions. The majority didn't have two thirds of the parliament, so they do not have the right to govern alone."

"We don't demand the obstructing third vote, but we want the parliamentary blocs to be represented in the cabinet according to their size in the parliament," he added. "If they accused us of hampering the function of the cabinet, then we challenge the prime minister and majority ministers to say what establishments the opposition's ministers crippled."

Aoun expressed his support for Speaker Nabih Berri, and said that he had yet to decide on his choice for Prime Minister. "We will decide on the prime minister based on the outcome of deliberations," stressing that the opposition is united in this regard.

Concerning the independent MPs, General Aoun said, "It has been proven today that the title of "independent" is merely a nom de guerre after independents joined March 14."

He also denied that Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt requested a meeting with him, and said that "some parties" did not want such a meeting to take place.
