Moussawi: U.S. Administration does not want a national unity government
Hizbollah Site Staff, 12-10-2009
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc member MP Nawwaf Moussawi considered the "Barriers the blocked government formation at times were due to conflict between Arab states, which were removed by the decision these Arab countries took between them, to move through a transition from confrontation and conflict to reconciliation and solidarity. He added "It is why those influenced by the blowing winds of this conflict in Lebanon, ought to benefit from the Arab consensus process today."
Moussawi addressed all the Lebanese by alerting them to an American attempt aimed at foiling the existing accord among them, coupled with fabricating tensions on the ground in Tripoli and possibly elsewhere."
The Loyalty to the Resistance bloc member called on the Prime Minister-designate and all political forces to speed up the "National unity government formation as soon as possible because the longer it takes to form this government, those negatively affected by Lebanese reconciliation will attempt to stoke tensions or sway the opinions of certain political forces."
At the end of his talk Moussawi expressed "The Loyalty bloc's willingness to fully cooperate in order to reach an understanding that allows for forming the national unity government soon, we also urge the PM-designate to take advantage of the positive climates, to overcome U.S. and other pressures in order to achieve consensus all the Lebanese hope for."
