Hizbullah Arab Relations official, Sheikh Hassan Izzeddine, attended a political meeting held by the Party in Imam Hussein (p) Husseinyat Hall in Hay al-Sullom area, in the presence of a Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) delegation.

During the meeting His Eminence said: "Should accord be reached on the national government and the political formula-already agreed to by both teams, we will have reached the basic principle that facilitates the process of bringing the government to light. All that remains then, is the distribution of portfolios in a logical and fair manner to all political forces, with each party specifying the names they select for this or that ministry. The PM-designate may certainly still face a number of obstacles but they would not be incurable- any obstacles that may develop along the way of this formation would be solved."

Izzeddine indicated that "Today, as we face the formation of this government, the PM-designate should take into account all demands, be they from the opposition or majority. Thus he must devise a formula for the distribution of portfolios to the satisfaction of all parties concerned, in order for this government to come out into the open for everyone to assume the responsibility of bearing the country's burdens, files and crises. We need many files, economic and security in particular, as well as that of facing the arrogant enemy which takes advantage of any given opportunity to pounce on our country and create discord between its people."
