Hizbullah Condemns States Fighting Goldstone Report
Source: Hizbollah Site Staff, 19-10-2009
Hizbullah condemned on Sunday the voting by some countries against the Goldstone report at the United Nations Human Rights Council, urging all forces to assume their responsibilities and punish the Zionist enemy for its crimes against humanity.
Hizbullah released a statement in which it criticized countries that voted against the international report, especially the United States. It said that the position taken by those states clearly shows the "moral degradation which some countries have reached."
Hizbullah said that if the Council's resolution targeted Arabs and Palestinians then the position of these countries would have been different. "This constitutes an additional condemnation, since it exposes the countries' bias and their adoption of a double standard policy," the statement added.
The Resistance party said that by protecting "Israel" and preventing legal action being taken against the "Israeli" enemy, the mentioned countries "encourage it to commit further crimes and turn these countries into partners in the crimes."
The party called for all international bodies, human rights associations and judicial institutions to immediately take all proper measures "to punish Zionist war criminals."
