Ammar: The era of prejudice against our sovereignty & the independence of our national choice is gone to no return

According to the member of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Ammar "Lebanon can only be ruled by consensus according to the Lebanese constitution and the Taif Accord of Lebanese National Charter, and that our democracy is consensual democracy, and any team or group in Lebanon leaning toward unilateralism, hegemony and monopoly, not only will it fail to govern the country, it will place the country in the throws of sedition again.

Ammar believed that calling for a government of national unity is not only the opposition's demand, as some would like it distorted, this demand is the spirit of Lebanon, a requirement according to the National Charter as well as a constitutional requirement.

MP Ammar also drew attention to the existence of only one party that sees harm in the existence of a national unity government, namely the U.S. side, criticizing the "Constant rounds of visits by the U.S. Ambassador Sison from here to there, as if she wants to say she's the real ruler of Lebanon", stressing that "The era of American hegemony and American prejudice toward our sovereignty, freedom and independence of our national decision is part of an American era of days forever gone to no return, and we will make certain it stays that way."
