Salloukh: “Israel” seeking to justify war against Lebanon but no strong indicators of imminent attack

In an interview with Al Sharq Al Awsat Pan-Arab newspaper, Foreign Minister Fawzi Salloukh said that the ""Israeli" breaches of Lebanese airspace and regional waters and implantation of espionage devices" in South Lebanon lead to the conclusion that "Israel" is "laying the ground to justify a possible war."
He added however, there were no strong indicators of an "Israeli" intention to wage a war against Lebanon, because Lebanon did not violate the Blue Line or Security Council Resolution 1701.
Salloukh also said that "Israel" retaliates "to rocket launches form South Lebanon with excessive violence and without waiting for results of the joint UNIFIL-Lebanese army intelligence investigation."
He added that holding Lebanon's government accountable for the rocket launch is not based on any "logical" reasoning and constitutes "an "Israeli" provocation" in spite of both Lebanon's commitment to Resolution 1701 and its strong condemnation of the incident.
Salloukh said he ordered Lebanon's Ambassador to the UN Nawwaf Salam to address two letters to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and to the Security Council to confront "Israel's" provocative acts, by condemning the "Israeli" artillery fire on the village of Houla and declaring it a "clear violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and of Resolution 1701."
"If "Israel" decides to attack Lebanon, the Lebanese state, army, people and Resistance will be on the lookout," he concluded.
Upon Salloukh's demand, Lebanese Ambassador to the UN Nawwaf Salam had sent two letters to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and to the Security Council condemning the "Israeli" artillery fire on the village of Houla.
Salam warned against "indications of "Israeli" preparations for a wide-range attack on Lebanon."
