"As-Safir" newspaper reported that a coordination meeting in Rabiyeh last night brought together each of the head of the "Change and Reform" Parliamentary bloc MP Michel Aoun, President of Marada movement MP Suleiman Franjieh, political assistant to the Secretary-General of Hizbullah, Hussein Khalil and Minister of Communications in the caretaker government Gebran Bassil.

Discussions covered possible solutions to the governmental crisis, parallel with the continuing open communications between the Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri and Franjieh.

According to available information, Aoun continues to insist on primacy be given to keeping the current Ministerial portfolios in the care of the Change and Reform Bloc, on the basis of "Keeping the old as is, unless a new equivalent ministerial package is offered, firmly rejecting Hariri's proposal of keeping the communications ministry on condition that Gebran Bassil is not its designated minister, when Aoun considers none has the right to bypass him and interfere in the selection of names for ministers, and whom to be designated which portfolios inside his bloc."
