Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Parliamentary bloc MP Mohammad Raad said in a talk with as-Safir Newspaper today that "Necessity obliges the government to approach the Lebanese citizens in a manner that strengthens trust in its concern with the implementation of their priorities, as promised in the government's ministerial statement, in order to take advantage of the current available opening of relative stability, by immediately entering into providing solutions to pressing living issues."

Raad also said: "It is the government's concern to consolidate an atmosphere harmonious with its willingness and commitment to correctly lead its Lebanese-Syrian relations. In this context, we see the Prime Minister's coming visit to Syria as one that will inevitably open channels of communication and instigate a new path of cooperation between Lebanon and Syria."

In response to a question, Raad said "We are not among supporters for withdrawing from circulation the proposal on setting up a committee for abolishing political sectarianism. We rather call for approaching it with an added nationalistic responsibility, sensing the way to strategic horizons focused on stability in Lebanon's political system."
