Sheikh Qassem received Mr. Farouk Kaddoumi
Hizbullah Deputy-Secretary General, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem received Mr. Farouk Kaddoumi, accompanied by Mohammad Abu Maizar and Farouk Izzah.
Together they reviewed the latest local, regional and international developments.
His Eminence said: "It is proven beyond doubt that "Israel" is moving in the direction of gulping the whole of Palestine, and that the law necessitating at least two thirds of the Knesset before allowing the return of any land is further evidence of evading obligations and agreements, thus bringing everyone face to face with only two choices: surrender to all "Israeli" conditions, or refuse and resist to restore all rights."
He added saying: "The history of political settlement is honorary and is against the interests of the Palestinians. To rely on the U.S. as a mediator only accumulates additional losses because of its bias to "Israel." We should learn from these events, unite and rally around the resistance, which is at least capable of stopping the "Israeli" project surge, and establishing the proper solution of returning the land to its proper owners."
After the meeting Kaddoumi said in a statement:
"We are happy to have met with His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Deputy Secretary-General to offer His Eminence a summary of developments in the Palestinian issue, especially in the resistance, we and Hizbullah are among the essential resistance forces."
"Yes, the Palestinian cause is the cause of every Arab, hence we are always in direct contact with Hizbullah and its leadership, those brothers who have done well, defeated "Israel", and now you can be sure that the Palestinian issue is in safe hands."
"To us resistance is the only path, and we - the original members of Fatah movement - advocate the resistance based Fatah movement, this resistance is the foundation upon which we rely, and as we always say Palestine belongs to the Palestinians."
"We have had many long experiences and witnessed political initiatives with the U.S. but unfortunately after a while both 'Israel' and the U.S. and at the same time drop these initiatives."
He added saying "We work with all factions carrying guns for the Liberation of Palestine, and God willing this is the approach we follow with all resistance factions, with our brothers in Hizbullah, and with the resistance from Iran and Turkey who support the Palestinian people in order to defeat 'Israeli' occupation and return the land."
