Aoun: Resistance arms to stay until Palestinians return home

In a televised interview on OTV, Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun questioned "How can the resistance arms be considered as a threat to the US if it is the sole weapon that defends the nation."

This came in response to US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman's Wednesday statement that Hizbullah endangers Lebanon and does not comply with international resolutions.

On the US, Aoun said that he does not trust Washington, because "it has sacrificed us too many times." he also said that the United States has achieved nothing in the Middle East, and as Lebanon believes in the power of Right, the US believes in the right to use power.
He added "The Resistance Arms will remain until the return of the Palestinians to Palestine, until the Palestinian issue is resolved."

He also said that Lebanon would not exist without the Resistance, especially since the UN cannot achieve stability in the country.
