Fayyad: Feltman´s statement is an attempt to create confusion in domestic stability

In response to the statement issued by U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, member of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Dr. Ali Fayyad signified in a television interview today that this statement is not new in U.S. policy towards Hizbullah and Lebanon. He considered the interests of some local, regional and international opponents are harmed by Lebanon having a national unity Government and a balanced ministerial statement that reflects the interests of the Lebanese and the understanding reached to face the many challenges and risks, the "Israeli" threat at their forefront.

Fayyad considered Feltman's accusation of Hizbullah as a threat to Lebanon, and a violation of international resolutions as well as a stand that goes beyond siding with "Israel" to being in a state of complete harmony with it.

He said "These accusations do not convince anyone as they are lacking on objective or logical basis, and because everyone knows that "Israel" is the one violating international resolutions, it always constituted a threat and a danger to Lebanon's sovereignty, security and stability, while the resistance forms a guarantee of protection for the security, sovereignty and stability of Lebanon."
