Moussawi: Trust in the Ministerial Statement made by free will of the Lebanese political parties
Local Editor, 18-12-2009
The member of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Nawwaf Moussawi saw that "It's incorrect to say there are winners and losers in Lebanon. The only loser if any is the "Israeli" enemy, which while eager, willing and keen to eliminate it, yet suddenly the resistance is a principle element of accord and consensus in Lebanon."
Adding that "There should not be winners and losers- ominous evil signal to our Lebanese future of co-existence and stability, the reason why alongside our emphasis on the importance of the ministerial statement content, we insist that this consensus and vote of confidence made by free will to the Lebanese political parties."
MP Moussawi was speaking during a memorial service in Sayyed al-Shouhada Compound in the town of Arabsaleem in the presence of political and social figures.
He also added saying: "This resolve took into account existing surrounding facts and circumstances. This consensus or expression thereof took place according to the free will of the Lebanese political sides that worked together in the basis of being all triumphant and winners. In parliament, while the government sat in the confidence-vote session we did say then that the winners were sitting and the losers were lurking with their ill plans for Lebanon to evilly control its land to evilly occupy, to evilly control and steal its water, and evilly target the Lebanese formula to put an end to the basis of co-existence and substitute them with authoritarian formulas of domination, so as to turn the sons of the one nation against one another."
He continued saying: "We must become active as political sides in bringing an end to the issues that have been a source of conflict, especially at grass-roots level and therefore, we are all invited to launch a campaign of public meetings, which I do not want to call 'reconciliation' meetings, to remove any tensions that have been in existence. We must take advantage of the positive climate created not only by the formation of this government but by its receiving a vote of confidence in Parliament as well. We must use this positive environment to defuse any sedition time bombs set by those who wanted to destroy Lebanon through internal and sectarian strife. The toughest challenge concocted by Lebanon's enemies, at their forefront "Israel" and its supporters, is to push Lebanon into sedition. This is why, we calmly say and in all objectivity to those who erred by considering that this government expresses a win of one side over another that such talk falls in the framework of sedition and spurring the Lebanese against each other."
