Report:We Will Not Go Down!
"Israel" began one of the bloodiest attacks on Gaza on December 27, 2008. In memory of the 3 week assault, the whole world stands in solidarity with Gaza.
A Gaza March was set to start on the 31st of December attempting to lift the blockade of the Gaza Strip, including delegates and participants from over 40 countries, yet the Egyptian government hindered their way.
The Former Vice president of the European Parliament Louisa Morgantini, Filipo Sentar and president of the Transnational Institute Walden Bello, American novelist Alice Walker, Ronnie Kasrils a former Jewish South African Minister of Intelligence and 85-year old Holocaust survivor Hedy Epstein, said that they will proceed on their mission to Gaza no matter what.
Walden Bello said: "We'll get to Gaza, come hell, or high water."
A spokesman for the activists, Diaaeddin Gad, said that it's a shame on Egypt to prevent these people from entering Gaza, which has been suffering this "Israeli" blockade for a long time now.
One of the 1,360 persons due to take part in the event on the 31st of December, the 62 year old Margaret Hawthorn who flew from Massachusetts to take part in the event was shocked to know that she wouldn't be allowed to show solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Activists were also prevented from staging a protest outside Egypt's Bar Association in central Cairo.
Nikos Progonlis, a Greek activist who came to Cairo with his wife for the March said that this was so contradictory, Egypt declares its support to the people of Gaza on one hand, but asks not to march on the other.
Activist spokesman Gad said: "Egypt is just taking its orders from "Israel"; it would never have prevented us from entering Gaza and would never have built this barrier if "Israel" had not wanted that".
As a response to the Egyptian government's refusal to allow the Gaza Freedom March participants into Gaza, Ms. Hedy Epstein began a hunger strike yesterday as a response to the Egyptian government's refusal to allow the Gaza Freedom March participants into Gaza.
The Viva Palestina convoy led by George Galloway, a British MP, has been stranded in Aqaba for the past five days.
The organizers of the convoy, agreed to travel via Syria en route to Egypt, after a Turkish mediator reached a deal with the Egyptian consul in Jordan's Red Sea port of Aqaba.

Moving on to Britain, several hundred pro-Palestinian protesters rallied in front of the "Israeli" embassy in London, condemning the "Israeli" offensive and continued siege of the Gaza strip, demanding an end to the "inhuman" blockade.
The protesters held banners naming Saudi King Abdullah, Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak as conspirators in the massacre of Gazans.

Later on today a Candlelight Vigil will be held under the title of Remember Gaza in Wolverhampton.
Over 200 vehicles including ambulances, medical aid, and around 420 activists from the UK, the US, Turkey and Malaysia, have been barely sleeping to make it to Gaza on time, whether or not they will be allowed into besieged Gaza or not remains to be seen.
The Palestinian people are being massacred, starved and humiliated. This catastrophe has to end soon, for the Palestinians have an undeniable right to live with dignity!!
