“Israeli” Army Nightmare Continues, Arrest Warrants Again
Local Editor, 5-1-2010
A delegation of "Israeli" army officers cancelled a planned visit to the UK last week, after the British hosts botched to pledge that arrest warrants would not be filed against the invitees.
The scenario of arrest warrants against those involved in the brutal assault on Gaza has planted fear in the heart of Israelis, as senior officers and politicians tops the list of wanted criminals.
An arrest warrant has been issued last month against "Israeli" Opposition Chairwoman Tzipi Livni, for alleged war crimes committed in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead.
On his part, "Israeli" Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon voiced concern that ties with London could be spoiled by the current legal situation in the UK. The issue of changing UK law to avoid the arrest of "Israeli" officials and officers was expected take over Lady Scotland's meetings with "Israeli" foreign ministry officials.
International lawsuits are causing increasing alarm among senior "Israeli" officials involved in war crimes committed against Palestinian civilians during the "Israeli" aggression on the Gaza Strip.
