We read in some of the media in recent days, the ominous rhetoric related to one of the sheikhs in Saudi Arabia, named Muhammad al-Uraify, who attempted to detract from the Shiaa Muslim community, and its faith and history, to the extent of reaching a very belittling language when dealing with one of our highly regarded reference authorities, the Grand Ayatollah Sistani may he live long, by resorting to the use of terms and epithets no person of least amount of reason, understanding, honor or faith would, let alone a 'sheikh'.

We, before this hateful spiteful speech, affirm the following:
First: The Islam, belonging, history and sacrifices of the Shiaa Muslim community needs no confirmation from this Sheikh and his ilk, and all that he said is refuted.

Second: The leading role fulfilled by His Eminence, the religious reference Sayyed Sistani (mhll) is higher and more revered than to be undermined or had at by all these huge unfair campaigns, furthermore, any insult to him is an insult to all our religious and reference authorities, scholars, fighters and martyrs, and is to be viewed with the severest of condemnation and denunciation.

Thirdly: We call upon the Saudi authorities to take all disciplinary actions against such Sheikhs and put an end to their likes, as they fan the flames of sedition and incite Muslims on bickering and fighting, which serves only the enemies of the religion and this nation, especially when these sheiks are formal employees in its religious institutions.
