In a memorial service in Bareesh town Rahal said "Such inversed speech, while a coup on the Taef Accord and the constitution, provides the 'Israeli' enemy with a cover for its crimes against the Lebanese and Arabs, weakens the Lebanese state against external risks, and acts as an internal parallel to the intimidation and war propaganda campaign launched abroad by enemy
leaders in particular."

While Rahal criticized those who provoke division and discord within the body of the nation, he stressed that insults directed by a Saudi cleric to the Shiaa Muslim community and its religious references, only serves the U.S. fragmentation project through encouraging murder, accusation of apostasy and infighting within the Islamic Ummah."
