Lebanese First Speaker Nabih Berri praised the reconciliation of Choueifat that was completed yesterday. The meeting included Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt, Loyalty to the Resistance bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad, Development and Liberation bloc MP Ali Hassan Khalil and Lebanese Democratic Party leader MP Talal Arslan.

In an interview with the Lebanese Daily As-Safir, Berri said that the scene of the encounter was fantastic. He praised the words that have been made and the quality of the audience who participated in the reconciliation, and drew attention that this reconciliation had arrived to reconnect the history and geography between the suburbs and the mountains.

On the upcoming government administrative appointments, he said an independent committee to discuss the names of the appointees should be formed. Berri also said he has the right to make such suggestions, adding that they are "only ideas that are up for debate."
