House Democrats Moves to Impeach Trump Over Abuse of Power

US Congressman Shri Thanedar introduced seven articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Monday, accusing him of abusing power and undermining the foundations of American democracy.
Thanedar, a Democrat representing Michigan, stated that Trump has engaged in “a sweeping abuse of power, flagrant violations of the Constitution, and acts of tyranny that threaten the rule of law.” In a public statement, he asserted that Trump has proven himself “unfit to serve as president” and constitutes a “clear and present danger” to the nation’s democratic institutions.
The articles of impeachment allege that Trump’s actions have subverted the justice system, violated the separation of powers, and placed personal ambition above public duty. “We cannot wait for more damage to be done. Congress must act,” Thanedar warned.
Ironically, the announcement came just a day before Trump is scheduled to visit Michigan to mark the 100th day of his second term.
