Palestinian resistance groups and regional organizations have fiercely condemned the “Israeli” regime’s recent attack on the Al-Dameer [Conscience] ship—part of the Freedom Flotilla—aimed at delivering aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.

The vessel was struck by “Israeli” drones in international waters off Malta in what activists described as a deliberate attempt to disable the ship’s generator.

Though a fire broke out following the attack, it was quickly brought under control, and all those aboard were confirmed safe. While Maltese authorities reported 16 people were on board, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition stated that 30 crewmembers and activists were present.

The assault has triggered widespread outrage across West Asia. Gaza-based resistance movement Hamas denounced the act as “piracy and organized state terrorism,” holding the “Israeli” entity fully responsible for the safety of the crew.

Hamas praised the courage of the activists and emphasized the importance of exposing what it called “Zionist fascism.” It also urged the UN Security Council to intervene and hold Tel Aviv accountable for repeated violations of international law.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement also condemned the attack, describing it as fresh evidence of the entity’s use of siege and starvation as weapons of war against Palestinians. The group stressed that such actions make a mockery of rulings by both the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah strongly condemned the attack, calling it a blatant violation of international and humanitarian law. The group accused the “Israeli” regime of perpetrating the assault with full support from the US, blaming what it called “shameful international complicity” for enabling such crimes. Hezbollah also criticized the silence of certain Arab regimes amid what it described as an ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The Mujahideen Movement likewise referred to the attack as a “new terrorist crime” that jeopardizes international peace and stability, calling for greater global solidarity to break the siege on Gaza.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine [PFLP] linked the strike to the 2010 attack on the Mavi Marmara, saying the “Israeli” entity is once again attempting to suppress global support for Palestinian liberation through violence and piracy. The group emphasized the entity’s consistent disregard for international resolutions and called for intensified boycotts and pressure campaigns.

Meanwhile, the Popular Resistance Committees described the attack as a manifestation of “Zionist thuggery” and “fascism without limits.” The group blamed US support for emboldening the regime’s behavior and urged the international community to confront what it called “Israeli criminality.”

The drone strike took place amid the entity's genocidal war on Gaza that began in October 2023, which has caused the martyrdom of over 52,400 Palestinians—most of them women and children. Despite mounting international condemnation, the “Israeli” entity remains defiant, routinely justifying its actions as “security” operations.
