Iran Slams “Israeli” Attacks on Holy Sites

Iran has strongly condemned the "barbaric attacks" on Mosques and desecration of Muslim holy sites in the occupied Palestinian territories by "Israeli" settlers.
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said that the silence and inaction of the Arab states and international organizations will only "embolden the Zionists to accelerate their illegal actions."
He added that the Western countries' indifference toward such attacks is against all international norms.
"Undoubtedly, silence in the face of these inexcusable actions will increase hatred towards "Israel" and strengthen the resilience and resistance of the Palestinian nation," IRNA quoted the spokesman as saying on Thursday.
Mehmanparast called on the Muslim world to find a permanent solution to put an end to such attacks.
On Tuesday, "Israeli" settlers set fire to a Palestinian mosque in the occupied West Bank. The settlers drove up to the mosque at around 3 a.m. local time and torched copies of the Holy Qur'an.
"Israeli" settlers have repeatedly attacked Palestinian properties in recent months.
