6,500 Disabled Children in Gaza after War

Recent statistics shows an increase in the number of children who have lost at least one or more of their limbs during the war in Gaza. The number is an estimated 6,500.
Palestinian patients at the Artificial Limbs and Polio Centre in Gaza, receive help with the adjustment of their artificial limbs. Demand for the center's services has increased dramatically after the late war of 2008-2009 in Gaza.
Doctors at the centre receive material for the artificial limbs through NGO organizations such as the "Red cross" and " Islamic relief".
Thousands of children remain to suffer - and hundreds die through direct or indirect reasons- in the besieged enclave from the repercussions of the onslaught on the Strip as well as the siege that started in 2007.
