Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed the resistance's constant readiness and willingness to confront any "Israeli" surprise, saying "Hizbullah is always ready for any ‘Israeli' surprise or folly, the party is ready for war attack, whether pre-planned or a complete surprise."

During an exclusive interview with al-Nour Radio His Eminence asserted that "The resistance has a legitimate right to possess weapons and needs no permissions", stressing that "It is our right as resistance to possess all weapons necessary, without exception, to do our duty, and we will not succumb to explanations they try to bind us to."

Sheikh Qassem felt that the aim of raising the "Scud" missiles issue, is not to promote war soon but is an American promotional act within the framework of extending "Support boosts" to "Israel."

Sheikh Qassem said "Israel's" recent exclusion of war, is an attempt to reassure "Its society" who live in fear of war, "On whose basis the American-‘Israeli' threat turned to a problem for ‘Israel' who is now trying to pull itself out of."

On the other hand, Sheikh Qassem said "For the resistance to have all the Lebanese officials on the resistance side and the vast public majority on the resistance side at this stage is an important aspect gives additional impetus to the resistance."

Sheikh Qassem said that the Palestinian cause is the key issue that affected our country for more than 60 years now, as it led to the expulsion of Palestinians from their land, and certain American policies led to the emergence of bigger political problems, pointing out that the resistance grew out of this situation to represent the solution for restoring the land and holy places.

Sheikh Qassem further said, "The Palestinian people proved to be a tireless and determined resistance people, who managed to keep the flame of resistance burning in the face of Arabs policies and the policies of those who want to give "Israel" whatever it wants." He said all this led to the emergence of "Hizbullah" in 1982, when it started its resistance action and proved able to put an end to "Israel's" arrogance, proof of that has been the liberation of the south in 2000 and the victory achieved by the resistance in 2006.

The Palestinians felt supported to see a small band of people change the equation, pointing out that "This is what made Palestinian groups confident that the Hizbullah is able to liberate Palestine," stressing that Hizbullah is ready to help, but is certain that the Palestinian people and resistance represent the spearhead in the Palestinian interior."

He indicated that "Israel" has begun to suffer an existential problem in recent years, especially seeing that the true land owners are working on restoring their lands. He also stressed that "The ‘Israeli' fear faces a Palestinian strength," believing that "Israel's" demise is a natural process.

He explained that there is no serious political project for war and that any talk of a settlement is a waste of time, considering indirect negotiations a new deviation, and a settlement is an "Israeli" project aimed at obtaining more of the rationed gains of the Palestinian. He confirmed that there is nothing serious leading to a war guarantee for "Israel", which fully absorbed and apprehensive of what Hizbullah may do in the event of being under attack.

With respect to municipal elections he saw that there are no elections without coalitions and alliances that are political, family oriented, and confessional in their nature, adding that Hizbullah gave its votes to the Free Patriotic Movement in the Jbeil area.

His Eminence said it is always better to agree than to differ, which is legitimate, good and fortifies the domestic political arena and leads to development, adding that the agreement between Hizbullah and Amal movement came from this standpoint, and positively impacted the arena.
